Vento d Orcia

This was the best accommodation of our whole trip. Set in beautiful Tuscany, it was peaceful, had stunning views, and was very comfortable. Anna is an amazing host – warm, welcoming, and a fantastic cook. She prepares a delicious breakfast each morning, and we highly recommend opting in for dinner at least one night – it was a highlight. With only three rooms, it had an intimate, relaxed feel, and we really enjoyed spending time with the other guests. Thank you Anna, we hope to come back.

This trip took me to Milan, Rome, Florence, and Sicily, but it was at Ana’s farmhouse-Vento d’Orcia, Tuscany, that I truly felt Italy’s warmth and passion. The estate is beautiful, and you can see her care in every detail. Every morning there will be homemade breakfast made from local ingredients—fresh and delicious—and her attentively maintained rooms guarantee the best night’s sleep. Most importantly, her gentle hospitality makes you feel like family or friends and Ana’s five cats also made my son reluctant to leave. This is the most beautiful memory of my journey.

We stayed here for four nights and it was the highlight of our two-week trip in Tuscany. We first visited last year on our honeymoon, and on this summer’s trip to Italy, we knew we had to come back. The place is incredibly peaceful, yet just a five-minute drive from the beautiful town of Pienza, which has many great restaurants. It’s also in a perfect location for exploring Tuscany’s wine regions and hilltop towns like Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino. Ana is exceptionally warm and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing — delicious, varied, and different every morning. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely return.
