Verdad Nicaragua

The team at Verdad were exactly what I needed when I landed in Nicaragua. From arranging my taxi to being quick on WhatsApp to help me when I was standing in the wrong place and couldn’t see my driver at the airport, right through to giving me informed options on what else to do on my trip and being welcoming and friendly people to hang around with in the hotel, they went above and beyond whenever they could. The view from the room was incredible, the food was delicious and the walk to the beach was worth it as the views from the elevation of the hotel are so good, and the team even collected me in a car when I didn’t want to walk back up the hill! Overall, the team did everything they could to make my trip more comfortable. Something else that shone through was the hotels commitment to supporting the local economy. Whether it be the horse riding with Jose, the fishing with Alex and his team or the waterfall hike followed by an incredible lunch in the local community, it was clear Verdad places emphasis on supporting the local Nicaraguan people.

Verdad Nicaragua is pure magic! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were being welcomed by family. The level of care and attention from the staff is unmatched — every detail was thoughtfully handled, making our retreat a total success. The food was absolutely incredible. Every meal was freshly prepared with local, in-season produce, bursting with flavor and made with love. Dining at Verdad is an experience in itself — nourishing, delicious, and perfectly aligned with the tropical surroundings. The location is stunning, perched on a hillside with breathtaking ocean views, and just a 20-minute drive to San Juan del Sur if you want to explore. The private beach is a dream — peaceful, pristine, and well-equipped with comfy spots to lounge in the sun or relax in the shade. Plus, having food and drinks right by the beach made the experience even more special. We loved that we could borrow boogie boards and enjoy beach games, adding a playful touch to our days by the water. The free shuttle rides were another added convenience that made getting around effortless and stress-free. It’s these little details that make Verdad stand out. This place is a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and heartfelt hospitality. We left feeling cared for, recharged, and already planning our return. Verdad Nicaragua isn’t just a destination — it’s a feeling. Highly recommend!

A fantastic experience. I spent 5 nights/4 days at Verdad in a lovely single room in the primary building. The team was friendly and helpful, and took fantastic care of the property. Close to the beach (about 1km on foot), beautiful views, sparkling pool and deck. The fitness facility was spacious and well stocked for our group. Each meal was incredible, fresh and delicious. Prepare yourself for a bumpy, wobbly ride up and down steep dirt roads for the last portion, but it's absolutely worth it to reach this gem.
