Verdant Hill Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Pleasant hotel that ticks most boxes, though I feel it just scrapes into a 4 star rating. It was generally quiet. PROS: Great location, central to most attractions and public transport. Staff are helpful. Spacious room, clean. TV has good choice of channels, including movies. Nice breakfast area, plenty of choice (go before 9am, gets busy). Nice pool and bar area. CONS: Bed is very firm, we found it uncomfortable. Carpet & bathroom well overdue for updating, looks tired - mould in grout & basin edges. TV picture is poor - dark & grainy. We stayed 7 nights & didn’t mind it, but prefer a newer hotel with softer beds.

We were given a corner room on the 9th floor and the room was clean and the two beds were comfortable. The only two complaints we had was the complementary breakfast, it was the same food rerun every day for our five day stay. They also need new and user friendly air-conditioning control interface, it would reset itself to low cold settings. I probably will book a different hotel if we visit KL again in the future.

Spacious rooms. Queen sized deluxe bed is not suitable for tall people. Carpets inside room are of average cleanliness. 95% of the breakfast buffet menu keeps repeating everyday making stay boring if you are planning for multiple night stay. Also there is no Veg and Non Veg markers for each food item kept in buffet. We had to check every item and confirm if it's veg or non veg from the restaurant staff. Also there is tourism tax & security deposit collected for every room booking out of which only security deposit is refundable on check out. Staffs were courteous and polite.
