Veriu Central

Great location. Short walk from Central station. Close to China Town (amazing food there). Close to shopping Mall. Pub across the street great meals. Rooms are on the small side, but we stayed here not to spend time in the room but to explore. Beds super comfortable. Clean, friendly staff, quiet. Price was good 2 rooms 2 nights (1 king room, 1 queen room) just over $800. Will defiantly stay here again.

The best feature of the hotel is its location—perfectly situated in the heart of the city, close to all the action and within walking distance of major tourist spots. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even letting us store our luggage before check-in and after checkout. While our overall stay was great, the room cleaning could be improved. We found a used coffee capsule in the amenities bar, and after housekeeping, the used cups were still left inside the bathroom. That aside, the concierge team was exceptional, and I loved that the hotel is in a heritage building. The Drawing Room/lobby was beautiful and very comfortable. It would be nice if the hotel offered complimentary coffee or tea, or even occasional sweet nights for guests—just a hopeful suggestion, as we experienced this in a hotel in Japan and it created such a memorable atmosphere. Overall, we stayed a week and I would definitely recommend Veriu!

We loved our stay at Veriu Central! The staff were lovely and super approachable for any inquiries. The bar and lobby downstairs is super modern and lovely. Rooms are on the smaller side but perfect for a short stay. Great location, easy access to the city by either foot or public transport. We’d definitely recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable, convenient Sydney stay!
