Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto Gojo

We really enjoyed our stay at Vessel Hotel. The staff was very friendly and always answered our questions quickly. Although the room was small, it was very clean. We found this hotel to be very family friendly. We were able to bring dinner and eat in their dinning room area and then play games. They had various board games available and it was nice to get out of our room into a more spacious area to eat. Also, our kids loved the amenities, they had free drinks and cotton candy everyday and also an ice cream vending machine on the 2nd floor. Our only complaint is that they took our kids pajamas every day they cleaned and we had to go downstairs to get new ones every time. The hallway has a phone to contact guest services but it never worked for us. Thank you Campana hotel and staff.

The breakfast there is a feast, you can try every Japanese breakfast tradition ;) The staff is really friendly, and there are subway exits just a few meters from the hotel, which is really nice during hot weather! The room is a bit small and the bathroom may be a bit outdated but we still highly recommend this hotel ;)

it was a decent stay however the hotel was too crowded with group tours and it was a battle during check in and breakfast hours. Good luck if you come across a group while you’re trying to get into or get off from the hotel. Lots of European tour groups blocking the entrance, talking loudly, almost shouting each other isn’t not a pleasant experience. I think the hotel management should limit the group stays to better accommodate guest expectations. The front desk helped me forward a luggage to my next hotel and it was pretty convenient. this being said I would consider another options in Kyoto for the next time.
