We had a great time! Food was delicious, lots of great options for both vegetarians and gluten free. The beach was beautiful and the pool was nice. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone looking for a “nightlife” experience, as everything wrapped up by 11pm latest. A small resort but lots to offer. Rooms were kept very clean, but the washrooms could use some updating. Our shower drain was clogged. Would stay here again!!

Staff was either not sure, didn't know or played hot potato with questions. We arrived and received zero help with several bags as we were a party of NINE! Checking in was also annoying due to 3.rooms and not knowing how and where to place who. I just said put whatever and we'll figure out the room arrangements. Nobody seems like they want to be there. First day food was great and it went down hill each day thereafter. Rooms need lots of upgrades and better cleanliness. Door didn't lock and had to slam it in order for it to even close (without bottom lock) called and zero assistance. Mini bar was never replenished and I just stop asking for anything for my own inner peace. Not worth the hassle. Definitely never going back.

I recently stayed at Hotel Gran Ventana, and while the setting is lovely and many of the staff genuinely try their best, unfortunately, that’s about all the positives I can share. The food was merely adequate at first, but after a short while, it became a different story. The fruit was often found with flies, and most dishes were served cold, which was quite disappointing for an all-inclusive hotel. I also encountered some troubling behavior from the front desk staff, who were often condescending toward Dominican natives. It’s disheartening to learn that the hotel has a policy of charging Dominican nationals an extra $50 USD per day!, allegedly because they eat more. This seems particularly ironic given the all-inclusive nature of the hotel. The parking situation is chaotic at best. There’s limited space for only about 20-25 vehicles, with a few spots reserved—one of which is supposedly for the owner. This feels particularly frustrating, especially for a hotel that is part of a larger conglomerate. Moreover, the security personnel adopted an authoritarian attitude, often trying to assert their authority as if they were police officers. They call themselves "the law," which is both alarming and unnecessary. While I understand the need for safety, the hotel enforces a policy of no swimming in the beach after 7 PM. However, this cannot be lawfully enforced since the beach is public property. Unfortunately, the security staff often resorts to threats against guests who merely wish to sit by the beach, resorting to name-calling and disrespect. Overall, it’s clear that the staff prioritizes foreign guests, often treating Dominican nationals and those from abroad as second-class citizens. I cannot recommend Hotel Gran Ventana based on my experience, and I hope they address these serious issues in the future.
