Vidam Hotel Aracaju Transamerica Collection

Fantastic Hotel! Best hotel we have stayed in the Northeast. This has been our second time at the Vidam. My family was welcomed by the amazing and friendly staff. Mirelle, Miseias, and Omar made our check-in. They were super helpful and professional. The hotel was well decorated for the June festivities. The hotel had live music and dancers with traditional costumes. Super FUN! The breakfast is amazing. They have a great variety and you can also order some local dishes, like cuscuz, tapioca and omelette. A special thank you to Anitta and Mr Antonio Maia. Anitta always goes above and beyond. I can not wait to go back to Aracaju and to stay again at the Vidam.

All in all, I would say it’s closer to a 3 star hotel. Definitely needs a lot of work for it to be honored as a 5 star especially for an American. For example, we had to consistently go to the reception desk to remagnetize our room key because it kept demagnetizing when it got near our cellphones which is ridiculous; I’ve stayed in hotels all over world and this never happened. The hotel itself is super outdated. I think people get caught up with the great breakfast and pool, but the hot tub is warm and the rooftop closes super early. All this to say, Aracaju is light years away from being a beach destination staple in Brasil & Vidam is the lighthouse. Decent hotel, pricey, & nice night staff.
