Vidison Hotel

Is there really a cuisine specially describing the ethnic people of Changde??? Today was given a treat called Changde Cuisine which was similar in taste to Hunan cuisine except tonight’s dinner is more of clay pot and soup based. We were served a clay pot of duck ( whole uncut duck), a clay pot of chicken soup and braised fish in thick sauce. The additional dishes are called “accompanying” dishes which include skewer of fried chicken slices, fried pork, braised pork knuckles and some greens. The new dishes as the green chilli stir fried with beef slices and potatoes slices. Enjoyed tonight dinner and it’s too much for a portion of dinner dishes.

One of the better hotels we’ve stayed at during our visit to China. The rooms were clean and the room that we God was free of cigarette smell, which is always good to have for a good night sleep.

Length of stay: 1 night Cleanliness: 8/10 Breakfast:6.5/10 Service:4/10 Amenities: 2/10 The service staffs are friendly but their service so so. We called to front desk requested an iron at about 5.40am, the front desk asked me why I need iron, I told her I need to iron my clothe, what a funny question from her. Then she said she not sure if they have the iron, saying need to check with her manager, and told me If they have the iron, they can only send to me after 7am. I’m ok with that. Then about 7am I go to the front desk and asked again, the lady said they have only ONE iron, a hotel claimed 4 stars but only one iron?? And the iron is currently using by another customer, who stay near to us, ask us to get the iron by ourselves. Although the next door customer is under same tour group with us, but the main point is, they never do their job properly. I think hotel management need a lots of improvement on this, and one hotel only have one iron is ridiculous.
