A truly beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. A special mention to Nicolo the chef for cooking us a delicious meal and serving it out in the garden for us on our last day. Also he makes THE best Hugo cocktails!! We enjoyed our stay so much we’ve booked to come back later this year. Thank you Victoria Palace!

The location is exceptional, on the beautiful Lido and 20 minutes from the center of Venice. The rooms are very nice, with a large bathroom with a bidet. The views from the room to the Gardens or to Venice are unforgettable. The breakfast is very complete. The warmth and kindness of the staff is worth highlighting. I will definitely return.

I have mixed feelings about our stay, as we chose this hotel based on the many positive reviews. The hotel itself is beautiful, just like in the pictures, with a charming vintage style. Our room matched that style too – exactly what I had hoped for. However, when we checked in, the room was full of bugs – they were coming from the ceiling and swarming near the bathroom door. I reported it to the reception, and they sent someone to spray them. While that was being done, we went out for dinner and took a walk around Lido Island. When we got back, we saw that there were even more bugs on the ceiling, and there were many of them in the bed as well. I complained again, but they told us the problem would be addressed in the morning, and that bugs are to be expected since the hotel is surrounded by a garden. (I grew up in a house with a garden – I’ve never seen bugs in the bed, on the ceiling, or swarming in a room like this. This was simply disgusting.) Of course, we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in that bed. Around midnight, there was a shift change at the reception. I explained the issue again, and this time the staff member took the matter seriously – he took photos and videos (we did too when we first entered the room), and fortunately, there was another room we could move to. The new room was bug-free, which I really appreciated, but unfortunately it wasn’t the same charming vintage Venice style – it was a plain and simple room, definitely less beautiful than the first one. The first receptionist’s attitude was unacceptable. I understand that maybe during the morning cleaning the bugs weren’t visible, but he kept brushing us off and offered no real solution. The second receptionist was very professional and I’m thankful he solved the situation. Still, I was disappointed that the new room didn’t match the one we originally booked in terms of style and atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the restaurant staff were incredibly kind and friendly! Venice and Lido are both stunning places, but I left with mixed feelings.
