Vila d'este Hotel

Amazing hotel ! The staff were super friendly,happy and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The location was perfect with steps going down onto the beach front. Amazing restaurant for both breakfast and evening meal. The hotel is designed beautifully it felt very luxurious. I will most definitely be returning

We stayed at Vila D'este for the last 3 nights during our Brazil trip and in all honesty we wished we had stayed longer. We ubered from Rio galeo airport (approx 2.20 hrs). The hotel itself was lovely, clean giving boutique vibes. We stayed in a classic room (we had room 1) which felt like a stand alone ground floor room, we fencing around the outer seating area which lead to our bedroom door so this felt very private. Coffee pod machine in the room was chargable which was not a problem for us. You enter right through the hotel to a very steep stairwell at the front of the hotel to access the main street, shops, bars and restaurants. If you struggle with mobility this hotel may not be suitable but I am sure the staff can assist in getting taxis. Amazing views for two pools of different levels. Not many loungers so we just dumped our stuff on a bench/chair and waited for a lounger to be free. We had breakfast daily during our stay and had one of our eveing meals at the hotel also which was gorgeous. Highly recommend this hotel and Buzios the town itself.

We are staying here at the end of a 5 week tour of South America. The room is beautiful, overlooking the bay with fantastic sunsets. The room is long and narrow with a huge comfortable bed and powerful shower. Not much room for luggage. The breakfast buffet is unbelievable, new additions every day, pastries to die for and eggs perfectly cooked. The location is brilliant, one can walk either to the left ( the newer town with lots of high end shops) or to the right where there is a more " fishing village" vibe, both excellent. The staff are all friendly, courteous and provide 5 star service. I am therefore very disappointed that we were charged today for using 4 coffee pods and there is NO FREE WATER. Considering the price of the room and the opulence of the hotel one would have imagined coffee ,tea and water would be complimentary as they are even in budget hotels. What a shame, everything else is perfect.
