Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa

We’ve just returned from the most incredible holiday at Vilamendhoo, and I can honestly say it was the best trip we’ve ever been on as a family. Everything exceeded our expectations. The island itself is simply stunning – crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and lush greenery all around. The resort was immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and every little detail was clearly looked after. The food was absolutely delicious – varied, plentiful, and full of flavour. We never had a bad meal! A special mention goes to our waiter, Ihaan, who took care of us at every mealtime with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine smile. He made each dining experience feel special. One of the absolute highlights was the snorkelling. The house reef is just a few metres from the shore, which meant we could snorkel any time of the day. We saw an incredible abundance of marine life – vibrant corals, schools of colourful fish, reef sharks, turtles, and eagle rays. Night snorkelling was a truly unforgettable experience where we spotted lionfish and an octopus – magical and slightly surreal! For those worried about keeping teens entertained – don’t be. The resort has a fantastic tennis court, a padel court, and a very well-equipped gym. Our teenagers were never bored, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable for all of us. The hospitality throughout our stay was second to none. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness we experienced really stood out. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough. Whether you’re after relaxation, adventure, or just quality family time in a paradise setting – this place delivers it all and more. We’re already dreaming of our return.

Our stay at Vilamendhoo Resort was simply unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. Our room was absolutely spectacular: spacious, comfortable, and with stunning views that we enjoyed every single day. The buffet food was excellent, with plenty of variety and great quality. We especially loved that every dinner had a different theme, which kept things exciting and allowed us to try lots of different dishes throughout our stay. Snorkeling at the resort was truly breathtaking — we spent hours in the water exploring the amazing reef and marine life. The excursions were also fantastic, and the Ocean Discovery tour was definitely our favorite! Another thing we really appreciated was the resort’s app, which made it super easy to book excursions and check all the information we needed during our stay. Plus, the Wi-Fi connection worked perfectly, which was a nice bonus. Overall, we felt the value for money was excellent. The only small downside was that our flights were delayed both on the way there and back, but that was out of the resort’s control and didn’t take away from our amazing experience. We highly recommend Vilamendhoo, and we’d love to come back someday!

Amazing hotel, beautiful reef, great food, and excursions. Only downside was the service—staff seemed more focused on hotel rules than guest experience, and nothing was offered to resolve issues. Everything else was fantastic, but service needs improvement.
