Vilar Do Golf

Definitely book one of the Premium Villas, it’s worth the extra to get a renovated and nicely furnished villa. The location is great and the SPAR Supermarket is well stocked and reasonably priced, if you want to cook in your villa you’ll find most things you need, and there’s a great little bakery in store. Wine and beer selection is also very good and not expensive at all. The neighbouring golf course has a kids event on Fridays during the summer, check with the concierge and if you have kids it’s a nice evening out, with nice food and drinks for mum and dad !

Quiet villas with lots of winding walkways and stairs. Pool is clean but small for the amount of guests. Hot tub very small. Excellent Italian restaurant but pricey. Established landscaping well-maintained. Staff very helpful!

Great location. Lack of ground maintenance. Rooms are basic but acceptable, though overpriced. Service felt minimal and focused entirely on process rather than guests. Several staff spoke with an attitude, and on our last day they knocked repeatedly before checkout time, even though we left on time. When I reported this, the staff showed no concern and instead directed me to walk around different areas and wait in lines just to lodge a complaint.
