Villa Almendros by Casa de Campo Resort & Villas

Came here for a weekend for a wedding. Absolutely gorgeous property with a plethora of activities to do. Very hospital, polite and helpful staff. 5 Star treatment.

Returned for a second visit during February 2024 and overall disappointingly inferior to the calibre of service and value during 2020. The hotel made an error with our reservation for a premier suite and we were treated poorly by Shirley, main lobby concierge, and Verny, concierge at Premier club. We came here for five days and left one day early. In summary, this is a massive, all-inclusive, golf resort. If you’re not a huge golfer, not into all-inclusive vacations and don’t speak some amount of Spanish, this is not a place for you. The food (outside of SBG Restaurant) is pretty terrible. The service is all around poor. The resort is so large that your golf cart ride is 10-20 minutes one way not matter where you want to go and there a many cars, trucks and buses whizzing past you at all times. If you have a large family, staying at a villa with private staff, I’m guessing it’s a different experience. If you like the beach, good food and good service, you should not come here.
