Villa Cinco Resort 8bdr 5bth at Kona Plantation Estates

This is a nice, reasonably priced resort. Our 1 bedroom was a good size with room for a family of 4. All of the staff are very friendly, the pool is large and fun and the bar has good cocktails. I would definitely stay here again. The staff in Activities are very knowledgeable, and housekeeping responds very quickly to requests.

We stayed here last month for a week. We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit. It was great to have the kitchen to cook meals. Hawaii is expensive so it's great to save money with a few home-cooked meals. The unit was spacious. Air-conditioning is available for purchase. We paid $13 a day for it. They have 2 swimming pools. Unfortunately, one was closed for remodeling. There is a restaurant attached to the pool that was open. We ate there for 1 evening meal. It was good food and, on some nights, they provided live musical entertainment. Happy hour was daily from 4 to 6 for $2 all adult beverages. A couple of times we needed to call maintenance or housekeeping staff. They were VERY prompt at addressing our needs. The only downside I can think of is that they were just too far from downtown Kona to be able to walk the distance

The rooms are really nice, but we found live cockroaches in our first room, we understand that that is normal in Hawai'i, we had a hard time dealing with that so we moved rooms, the staff were very helpful during this issue. For service all you have to do is call the operator and you can ask for the towels you need in exchange for the towels you no longer need, and after the exchange the front desk will call to confirm you have what you need. Excellent service! This location does not have a beach attached to it just a golf course, but there is a great beach down the way. There is a pool, hot tub and a bar by the pool entrance.
