Villa Curina Resort

Very picturesque resort. Our room allocation could have been better, it felt like we were in a cellar. Service was with a smile and prompt.

We spent 5 nights at this resort. It was a relaxing and comfortable stay. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I wish we could visit again soon. Location is great with a 25 minute drive to Siena and an hour or so to other areas of interest. Rooms were fine but a bit rustic. I highly recommend this resort.

Absolutely, do NOT visit this property with children or without a car. We visited this property last summer as a family of six - kids ages 9-13. We travel very frequently and this was by far, the least kid friendly property we’ve visited for many reasons. First, the employees are generally unhelpful, especially at the front desk. The restaurant is similar, and while the food is good (not great), the manager is very difficult and we experienced him yelling at multiple guests, including us. He pushed very expensive wine on us and when we chose something delicious and reasonable, we didn’t see him again, except when our bill was wrong and he took issue with my husband. We were then scheduled to eat at the restaurant on our final night and he had the hotel tell us the restaurant was closed, despite accepting other hotel guests. During our trip, our daughter fell quite ill so we asked the hotel if they could make some soup or even provide tea. They refused and said the restaurant is a separate ownership so they could not help us. Keep in mind, the nearest village is 20 min away and we had no car and she had a very high fever and they offered no support. Last, the hotel is very remote and while that may appeal to some, our kids did not enjoy and begged to leave the property early because of how unfriendly the property felt. If traveling with a family, I highly recommend You look elsewhere.
