This was one of the best vacations our family has had. Villa Del Arco is an amazing resort for all-inclusive. My wife and I have stayed in Cabo 3 times and this trip, we brought her mother and our son. The resort was accommodating, full of activities for adults and kids. There were tons of guests from different places of different ages and everyone was so nice and polite. Our son loved the pool and the beach. The wife loved the view, room, food, and amenities. Her mom couldn't have been more happy to enjoy a good vacation and it was all due to this resort. We enjoyed the beach and activities, like water exercises, volleyball, pool service, spa, and even visiting the Villa del Palmar for their shows and restaurants. This was definitely one of the best resorts we've stayed in. It wasn't high-class, but it was absolutely great. Lastly, the service was top notch.
Our recent stay at this all-inclusive resort had its highs and lows. The grounds were beautiful, the food and drinks were generally good, and the staff were kind and attentive. However, one thing that left our group consistently confused was the check-signing process—even though everything was supposed to be included. Every time we ordered food or drinks—even just a soda—we were brought a check and asked to sign it, despite the total always being $0. It felt unnecessary and honestly took away from the relaxed, all-inclusive vibe we were expecting. With a large group, this constant signing became a bit of a hassle and raised questions every time someone ordered something. It almost made us second-guess whether things were truly included. We still had a good time overall, but it would’ve been much smoother if the resort either explained the check system better up front or found a way to simplify it. With a few tweaks, this place could be fantastic.
The hotel and rooms are very nice and the food is very good. The service is good but very, very slow. You have to give your name and room number before you're seated at a restaurant but you can't just leave when you're done. You have to wait for the bill even though this is an all inclusive hotel. They include a percentage for tips but you're supposed to wait for the check (again very long time) enter your information again and leave an extra tip while the server stands next to you waiting to see what you do. Many exceptions for included/not included wine. An All-Inclusive should be just that and you can upgrade stuff, if you want but this wasn't. We'll go to a real all inclusive next time.
