I’ve stayed at Villa Dida in Pwani Mchangani, Zanzibar, multiple times, and I can only recommend it! This charming, family-run boutique hotel perfectly captures the authentic Zanzibari style. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, and well-maintained. The staff is genuinely friendly and always goes above and beyond to make your stay special. One of the highlights is the peaceful atmosphere – being a small hotel, there are only a few guests, allowing for a quiet and relaxing experience. The location is perfect, right on a stunning beach. Since it’s situated towards the end of Pwani Mchangani, the beach is wonderfully serene and not crowded with tourists. Recently, the hotel added new rooms with private jacuzzis, which are a fantastic touch of luxury. If you're looking for a tranquil escape on Zanzibar, Villa Dida is an absolute must-visit!

It is a lovely place, for some it may be difficult, but it is Africa, but lovely and safe very private resort for relaxing and enjoying the ocean view. The staff is very helpful, the menu might not be to everyone taste and possibly limited but all you have to do is ask the staff for something different and they comply no problem. the village location is not ideal but it sits there and no one interrupts you morning coffee. Yes, sometimes the wifi and electricity is out but you are there on holiday. Water is available all the time for free and you can just really relax.

This place is okay. Rooms are clean, and staff are wonderful. An asset to the business. I have a few negatives that I will try to be constructive rather than slap the place down. Hospitality and catering is my job also. To many laminated signs around. Personally, I find them very tacky. There a locals that could make you a wooden sign for almost nothing. It would add a little Afican charm Remove the old broken blank wooden sign from the beach. This will not attract footfall from the beach and brings the place down. Some work needed to bring the place back up. I saw this going on. new rooms being built and looked very good. This will greatly improve things when they are finished. If anything, you must improve the food. You could make the menu smaller so the chefs can get good at making them. The menu felt I was reading a bible. Smaller menu= better quality. Few international dishes mixed with some local dishes Maybe. Not the hotels fault this one. The approach to the hotel could be cleaner it sets a very bad first impression. There was a lot of litter directly outside the main gate. Once tidied, it would not take a lot to manage going forward. The locals could help with this. I would offer them a commission free shop in the hotel. this also may help them tidy up as well if it brings in money for them. You have to give to receive. Overall this place is okay. I would come again. your staff are an asset to your business helpful friendly and all seem happy to work there. I don't hold the broken step against you 😉 Good luck for the future.
