Villa e Palazzo Aminta Hotel Beauty and SPA

We loved our experience here from start to finish! Staff at door, check-in, bar and restaurant were truly amazing! Noticed several staff wearing multiple hats on a busy Saturday night. I had the best martini in the bar - the bartender has skills. The room was cozy, but had a side facing balcony which made a big difference. Cleanliness was great at every point in the hotel. Pool staff (Georgia) went over and above to set up the grass beach area and show us the water access. There was a wedding on Sat night, both indoors and outdoors, and you would never have guessed the next morning - terrace was pristine as usual. Although the hotel is a bit far from the town, the shuttle and e-bikes make it completely accessible, and bonus is no street noise at night. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

A truly wonderful & memorable stay! Amazing hotel in beautiful setting over looking the lake and across views of all the 3 islands with private pier. We had the best stay ever, breakfast was fantastic, absolutely delicious especially the freshly squeezed orange juice, service was excellent. We had breakfast indoors and outdoors both are very nice❤️ Restaurant experience is phenomenal, amazing food and impeccable service with beautiful Murano chandelier inside, stylish and luxurious indeed. Bar service was also excellent, superb service with delicious food,couldn’t be more impressed. Very sad to leave at the end. Thank you the teams for a wonderful service, we will definitely be returning again.

We booked two rooms at Hotel Aminta in July 2025 for a three-night stay, expecting a 5-star experience with top-tier service. Unfortunately, the hotel fell far short. The positives: beautiful views from the room and a delicious breakfast buffet. The negatives: both rooms had high-mounted rainforest showers that leaked water through the partial glass doors, requiring over six towels per shower to mop up the mess. Following housekeeping service; we received visibly stained towels. The hotel lobby was loud at night which could be heard from our room, in addition to street noise and loud neighboring guests disrupting our sleep. More troubling was the housekeeping issue—twice, our other party’s dirty clothes were moved and placed inside the bidet. After reporting the first incident, we were assured it wouldn’t happen again. The second time, the manager, Julia, deflected blame by calling the bidet “multi-use”—a concerning and unprofessional response. We had to reiterate that guest belongings should never be touched or placed in such an appliance. When we requested a cab to downtown Stresa, we waited outside for over 30 minutes. Only after returning to the front desk did we learn Julia had been unable to secure one—but failed to inform us, leaving our parties standing outside unnecessarily. Perhaps most disappointing was the presence of racist caricature-style artwork displayed in the hotel lobby—something completely inappropriate and out of place in any modern, inclusive establishment. Overall, this was not the experience we expected from a property claiming 5-star status. Despite the view and breakfast, poor service, unprofessional conduct, and insensitive decor make this hotel one we cannot recommend. Definitely not a true 5-star experience.
