Villa La Estancia Beach Resort&Spa Riviera Nayarit

Great experience at a beautiful location. The staff is excellent and is very attentive (Thank you Elena, Roberto, Oscar and Enrique). The guests seem to trend older, but there was a mix of people, including kids. The pool and oceanfront are exceptionally clean and the food was excellent. We did the all inclusive packages and it was worth it. One thing to know is they will ask you about timeshare presentations as that seems to be a core part of their resort membership. You don't need to attend, but if you do, they offer spa credit or discounts on excursions you may wish to book. Overall, this is a notable location and worth visiting for a relaxing vacation.

My boyfriend, Max, and I stayed at La Estancia Riviera Nayarit from March 7-14, and it was practically a dream vacation. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Ivan was there to assist us every day—he always secured the reservations we wanted and had amazing suggestions for things to do. He even made a point to find us at the pool to check in and ensure we were having the best time. Jesus and Daniel were also invaluable to our experience. They went out of their way to make sure we had seats by the pool, especially in the sun (which was perfect for someone like me who loves to lounge for hours). Their attentiveness truly made a difference. The food at the resort was excellent—we never got tired of the options. We also enjoyed the entertainment, including the night show, bingo, and jet skiing. Beyond that, the resort itself was immaculate. The cleanliness stood out, room service was quick, and the gym was never overcrowded. Another great touch was how safe we felt—the staff made sure to log taxi and Uber details before guests left the resort. I honestly don’t have a single complaint about this trip—everything was seamless. Normally, by the end of a long vacation, I’m ready to go home, but for the first time ever, I wished we could have stayed longer than seven days!

We have been going to this location every year for some years now. It’s great for my family, convenient of where it’s located too. However, this year we went two different times in July. Both times it was not like how it used to be. To begin with they started doing this thing where you don’t have access to a closet unless you’re a timeshare holder (I’ve never gone anywhere where I didn’t have access to a closet.) Another thing was that on our second time around we still didn’t have a closet and from past visits we know that inside there’s a scale which we needed to weigh our suitcases before heading out to the airport. We asked MANY times for one and it seemed like such an inconvenience. On the second time that we arrived to this location we were walked to our room as per usual. I slipped (there was no caution sign) and I hurt my tailbone/right side of my body) I was crying in pain and the person walking us to our room didn’t even offer a bag of ice. On our second to last day there, my husband, child and myself got food poisoned. We had only ate at the breakfast buffet. It’s been a week since we left and I am still unwell from my stomach. We usually spend several weeks in Mexico so our stomachs are used to Mexican food. (The lady who was doing our check out saw how ill I looked and suggested that it was because we were from the US, like I said though we spend weeks in Mexico) It was a weird experience. Definitely will not be returning to this location or any of the flamingo hotels.
