I stayed at this hotel with my daughter for 5 days, and unfortunately, our stay was ruined by a number of unacceptable issues. ⠀ 1. Cockroaches on the second night. On the second night, around midnight, we found cockroaches in our room. We reported it and were moved to a different room, but it was an extremely unpleasant experience. ⠀ 2. Fire alarm evacuation. The next night around 1 AM, the fire alarm went off and all guests were evacuated outside. No explanations, just confusion and panic — especially hard for families with children. ⠀ 3. Hair in the food. Twice during our stay I found hair in the food — once in the tomatoes, and another time in the omelet. This reflects very poor hygiene standards. ⠀ 4. Poor restaurant service. One day we were given menus at the restaurant and then waited over 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Service was slow, disorganized, and unprofessional. ⠀ 5. Air conditioning issues. In one of the rooms, the air conditioning didn’t work properly — it was stuffy and uncomfortable, especially at night. ⠀ 6. No flexibility or guest care. On our check-out day, we had a late flight. I asked if we could use the pool after check-out, and the answer was: “No, after 10 AM you are no longer guests.” Completely inflexible and indifferent attitude. ⠀ 7. Room security. After breakfast on the last day, I returned to the room and found the door wide open. Our documents, money, and personal belongings were still inside. I reported it, and all I received was a dry “Sorry”, with no explanation or effort to fix the situation. ⠀ Conclusion: This hotel left us with a very negative impression. Cockroaches, hair in food, fire alarms at night, poor service, a malfunctioning AC, and serious issues with guest safety. Our holiday was ruined. I do not recommend this hotel.
This hotel offers a charming, classic European ambiance with well-maintained facilities that reflect its old-world elegance. However, the service quality unfortunately did not match the same level of refinement! Our group stayed here as part of a pre-arranged tour with confirmed reservations. Upon arrival, we were told the hotel was fully booked and that there were not enough rooms for our group—an unacceptable oversight for a facility accustomed to handling group bookings. During breakfast, one of the staff members, Greta, displayed extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. Without any clear signage or prior notice, some members of our group unknowingly took a dish that was not included in our meal package. Rather than calmly addressing the situation, she raised her voice, demanded payment, and abruptly removed plates and cutlery—without checking whether guests had finished eating. This level of treatment is unacceptable. It left a very sour impression of the hotel and unfortunately overshadowed part of our experience in Italy. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in proper staff training focused on hospitality and respectful guest communication.
Extremely Disappointed with the Reception Staff and Service Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, especially with the reception staff. Upon arrival around 9pm at night, we were not welcomed warmly—the staff were unhelpful and indifferent. Despite having booked our rooms well in advance, the hotel failed to provide enough rooms for our group. What’s worse, they didn’t inform our tour leader in advance when they discovered the issue. Instead of assisting us or trying to resolve the situation, both the male and female staff kept repeating that there was nothing they could do. They acted as if it wasn’t their responsibility to find a solution or help the tour leader look for alternative arrangements. Their attitude was shockingly self-centered and unprofessional. After a long day of travel, we were left tired, helpless, and without proper accommodation. This lack of accountability and poor customer service left a very bad impression on all of us. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those traveling in groups. This hotel definitely does not deserve a 4-star rating.
