Villa Saulina Resort Hotel

Set in beautiful Tuscan countryside, with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.Information for local trains times and staff will give extra help when needed. The rooms were very comfortable, typical Tuscan style of a manor house. Bar service was good with wide range of local drinks which you can try. Lounge to relax in. Plumbing for the shower was the only minus with variable pressure. But, hey, more than made up for in all other areas. We shall return.

This place was up on the mountain top with beautiful vistas in every direction yet was still located close to Florence. We drove to the nearby grocery store and parked the car for free then took the train into Florence. The hotel is rustic but has on site a restaurant and an adequate breakfast buffet each morning. It did have ants in the bathroom when we first checked in but when we told the staff, they took care of it right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only one good thing about this place is location! Apart of that it deserve 1 stars not 4 for sure! It has swimming pool and plenty room for parking as it is on the village but the room itself it wasn't good enough for even 3 star hotel. First of all in the bathroom was 2 cups to brush your teeth which was dirty! It looks like someone just didn't even check our room before checking in! There was not a single soap or shower gel as you would expect in 4 stat hotel. We had stayed for a night and I was hoping that I've got a fridge there as it was described in the advert but the fridge was off! I had to turn it on so I've barley managed to cold my beverages till the morning The worst thing it was the breakfast!! Disaster! We though that we gonna get something warm or at least fresh crossaint!! But we end up having a crossaint prepack from the shop. Picture attached. Also the owner looks little bit surprised when we have asked for a breakfast... But we did pay for a night with breakfast. So I would expect at least Italian breakfast not only a coffee with a crossaint from a store. I've seen some yogurts in the fridge near bar but the lady didn't even offer us any. We get an espresso with a crossaint so we end up going straight for the breakfast. It was no tea or coffee in the room. Not even a kettle there! On the walls there was a million place with dead mosquitos It looks like someone just hover it and that's it. Even the bulb in the bathroom didn't work, shower door nearly felt off. What a shame!! To be honest we are on our Italy road trip and that suposses to be our highest rated hotel but it ends up being the worst. We are staying most of the time in 3 stars hotel and none of them was worst than this place. Don't know how did it get 4.2 rating in Google. Ooohh BY THE WAY!!! IF YOU WILLING TO SPEND SOME TIME IN THE ROOM THEN TAKE AN iPad with you as it will be bigger than TV there. It was 8 inches maybe. It didn't bother me but it might someone 1 star for me!
