Loved our week stay at our small villa at the resort. The welcome with all the details was just very nice. We got complimentary head and neck massage at the spa and a photoshoot. The twice a day shuttle service to Ubud City Centre was very helpful. Our villa was well maintained and spacious with all basic amenities. Loved the private pool and rain shower. The cleaning service was done when we went for breakfast and they also had a nice turn in service in the evenings which also wasn't intrusive where they would draw in the curtains, switch on the lights and cover up the bed with the mosquito net. Trash was cleaned out twice a day and sheets towels changed upon request. Breakfast was a good variety and food of good quality. The staff were super friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant once when it was raining too much to step out. We really enjoyed the food. Rice terraces and the view and sound of the Agung river is a royal plus. Nice getaway place in Ubud. Tranquil sanctuary. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay at Semana. 1 negative comment is that they just give 1 cup of coffee at breakfast and have limited tea offerings . Food were great and facilities top quality The location of the Spa is close to river. Our Bolenaise massage wasn't the best we had in Bali but maybe therapists where tired . They want to spray for insect during the day when we where relaxing next to pool Maybe arrange spraying later in the day .
Beautiful vila and surroundings, very nice and kind staff, but the service didn’t meet expectations for a 4-star hotel. While the villa is undoubtedly beautiful at first glance, with well-kept gardens, small ponds, a pool, and a lovely view of the river, several aspects of our stay fell short of what I would expect from a 4-star hotel in this price range. On the first night, there was no hot water in the shower. We reported the issue, and when we checked again in the afternoon, hot water was running. However, later that evening it stopped working again. I would expect hot water to be available at any time, or at the very least, to be informed otherwise. The next morning, the water was hot, but unfortunately dirty. On our first morning, we had an early trip planned and were given a breakfast box to take with us. It included two eggs (with no bread), a mini croissant, butter, jam (with no knife to spread it), a banana, and a local fruit (salak). Again, I would expect a little bir more from a hotel of this level. The food at the restaurant was also average. The room itself was nice, undortunately, the main trash bin was never emptied during our stay, and towels were not replaced. We could also hear music from the pool area in the room. Overall, the hotel is undeniably beautiful, but the service level did not meet expectations.
