⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing experience at Tantawan Pool Villa Resort! 🌴✨ From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional — the team was friendly, helpful, and made everything so easy for us. The villa itself was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with a private pool that was just perfect for relaxing. The location is fantastic — peaceful yet close enough to explore the area, which is absolutely stunning. Every detail here made our stay unforgettable. I truly felt taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a mix of luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality. I will definitely be coming back! 🏝️

We've been to Villa Tantawan many times. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. It was perfectly clean and the tropical garden was beautiful. We feel at home. Everything was perfect. We'll be back. Thank you, Gabriela and Dieter from Switzerland.

Review of Villa Tantawan Resort & Spa Villa Tantawan Resort & Spa in Kamala, Thailand, offers an experience that balances high standards with a few areas for improvement. Having visited Thailand ten times and stayed at several 5-star resorts, we have a strong basis for comparison. Location and Surroundings The location is beautiful, situated 1.8 kilometers from Kamala Beach on a hillside, offering stunning views of the mountains and a serene atmosphere in contrast to the bustling beach life. However, the prospectus mentioned a view of the bay, which we unfortunately could not confirm, neither from our villa nor our neighbors'. Facilities and Accommodation The villas are spacious and well-equipped with all necessary kitchen appliances, making self-catering an option. The bedroom is large, and the bathroom is impressive. The air conditioning and ceiling fans function flawlessly and silently. The terrace is a highlight, featuring a stunning infinity pool and a variety of outdoor furniture, though cushions and pillows for many of the furnishings were missing, which would have enhanced the comfort. The cleaning service was excellent and performed daily at a high standard. The gardens surrounding the villas are well-maintained, creating a lovely atmosphere. However, the pool was dirty on several occasions, which could have been easily addressed with more attention from the staff. The fitness room is small but functional with essential equipment. We noted that the treadmill was out of order, but it was quickly repaired after we brought it to their attention, demonstrating efficient responsiveness. Room service was also prompt, and the shuttle service to and from the town worked seamlessly. Service and Staff Communication with the staff is managed via an app. While efficient, it can feel slightly impersonal. The reception staff, however, are friendly and accommodating, although it is noticeable that not all have a background in the hospitality industry. A nice touch was the small gesture of champagne and snacks we received after our 14-day stay. Pricing and Critique One major downside is the pricing. The costs for their services and food are extremely high – in our opinion, too high – though they do reflect the overall high standard of the resort. A simple breakfast costs over three times what you’d pay at a local restaurant, and a pizza is two-three times the price. Even their in-house taxi service is four times more expensive than a local taxi, making it an unattractive option for most guests. This discourages guests from using the facilities, which is a shame because more reasonable pricing could generate significant activity while still maintaining good profit margins. Another critique lies in the name "Villa Tantawan Resort & Spa," which is misleading, as there is no spa yet. It is still under construction, unfortunately right next to our villa, resulting in disruptive construction noise. This should have been disclosed beforehand, or we should have been offered a different villa. Lastly, the laminated A4 sheet listing the prices of every item in the villa in case of damage creates an unwelcome first impression. This could be handled in a less intrusive manner. Conclusion Villa Tantawan Resort & Spa is undoubtedly a luxurious place for those seeking tranquility, privacy, and high standards. However, the high prices – while corresponding to the resort's overall quality – feel excessive and could deter guests from fully enjoying the amenities. Transparency regarding construction and a more welcoming approach would also enhance the guest experience. Despite these shortcomings, we had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed our stay. For those who can overlook the few issues and afford the premium, this place remains a great choice.
