Village Hotel Basingstoke

We had a lovely weekend stay as a family of four — myself, my husband, and our two children. The hotel was perfect for us! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. A special thank you to Zara at reception — she was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional. Her warm attitude really made a difference. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families looking for a relaxing and well-managed place to stay.

My partner and I stayed overnight in one of the club rooms at The Village Hotel in Basingstoke, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by staff who were not only highly professional but also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warmth set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional stay. The club room was spotless—truly immaculate. It was clear that attention to detail and cleanliness is a top priority here, which instantly put us at ease. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on; the mattress offered just the right balance of softness and support, making it hard to leave in the morning! The air conditioning in the room was a dream—powerful, quiet, and perfect for a restful night. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious and fresh breakfast that far exceeded expectations. Everything was hot and perfectly cooked, but the standout items for us were definitely the hash browns and sausages—crispy, flavorful, and just the right level of indulgent. Before heading out, we stopped by the in-house Starbucks, where once again the staff impressed us with their friendly service and upbeat attitude. They made our coffees just the way we like them and added that final feel-good touch to our stay. We left feeling refreshed, well-fed, and genuinely cared for. We’ll definitely be returning—and recommending The Village Hotel Basingstoke to friends and family!

We arrived late in the evening, but that wasn’t a problem at all. There was still someone available to assist us with the self check-in, which went smoothly. There were also plenty of parking spaces available, and an added bonus is that parking is free on weekends. We were given a larger accessible room, even though we hadn’t requested it. This turned out to be a nice surprise, as we really appreciated the extra space. The room was spotlessly clean, which was great. The bed, however, felt a bit worn out and the mattress could definitely use a replacement. On the upside, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the room was very quiet. One thing that surprised us a little was that there was no housekeeping service between the two nights of our stay. However, when we requested extra towels in the evening, the staff at the reception were very helpful and brought them to our room within minutes. All in all, we had a good stay. A clean, pleasant hotel with helpful staff. Would definitely consider staying again.
