I stay at this hotel fairly regularly and it continues to impress. The location is very convenient with excellent transport links, and there’s plenty of parking available – although it can get a little busy at times. The leisure facilities are a real bonus and always well maintained. The food and bar are consistently very good, and the staff are always friendly, professional, and attentive. Even when the hotel is busy (which is often), I’ve never had to wait long for food or service. The rooms are generally in good condition, and it’s great to see that they’ve been steadily updating them over time. Breakfast is another highlight, with a wide variety of hot and cold options to suit all preferences. Overall, a reliable and enjoyable place to stay – I highly recommend it.
I booked a over night stay for my parents 40th Anniversary and my parents were delighted with the friendly staff that went up and beyond to make their experience welcoming and pleasant . The receptionist was very smiling , friendly and bubbly and done everything she could to accommodate for them. They had a lovely bottle of wine and a card wishing them a Happy Anniversary gifted from the village hotel and staff . When it came to their meal they also had a free glass of wine and Happy Anniversary written on their cheese cakes. They rightly rated their meal and the service they received and we would like to send out a massive thank you to all the team x Darren & Tracey
I recently stayed here on a business trip, and overall, it served its purpose very well. The location is ideal, conveniently situated just off the motorway, which makes it incredibly easy to access, especially if you’re travelling for work or just passing through the area. One of the highlights for me was the leisure facilities. The gym is genuinely impressive, kitted out with high-end Technogym equipment that goes well beyond what you’d usually find in a hotel. The pool and spa facilities are also excellent, clean, modern, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. The rooms themselves are adequate, clean, functional, and comfortable enough for a short stay, but they are quite basic and don’t offer much in the way of style or luxury. They do the job, but don’t expect anything particularly memorable. The food follows a similar theme. It’s perfectly fine and does the trick if you’re after a convenient meal, but it’s lacking flair or creativity. Breakfast was okay, again, nothing to write home about, but it filled a gap. All in all, it’s a solid choice for business travellers, practical, efficient, and well located. However, if I were planning a family break or a more leisurely getaway, I’m not sure this would be my first choice. It’s a hotel that excels in functionality rather than atmosphere or charm
