We celebrated a hen weekend and it was excellent from start to finish! Mike, Molly and the rest of the team looked after us all very well and was lovely to be able to use the spa facilities as well. All food was lovely and the set up of the hotel and facilities available mean you have everything you need to not leave. Thanks for a fabulous weekend!
Great location. Staff super friendly and helpful. Bar area is lovely, we didn't use the spa/gym facilities so cannot comment, but seems popular! Starbucks onsight was a huge bonus!! Room - the place is a maze, finding out room was a nightmare!! It honestly took us like 20 minutes, and no I'm not stupid I stay at hotels regularly, it was so confusing! Once found, the room was nice, bit dusty, the bed was the best part, so comfortable! The buffet in the morning, fruit selection could have been better, the second morning, hardly any hot buffet available, not sure how long for but it was super busy and loud! Yes, I would stay again. Now I know the layout of the hotel, wouldn't opt in for the breakfast.
Family of 15 with various rooms stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. Spending a lot of money on food and alcohol and paying their extortionate prices even though we could have gone to the pub with entertainment over the road we decided to stay. So, the let down is that breakfast was served until 9am. A quarter of the party arrived at 9:05 due to having a fabulous time at the wedding. we were told that we couldn't have breakfast even though we could see lots of fresh food still on the counter and others dining. We asked if it could be boxed up to take out and as this was refused, I asked if all the food was going to go to waste and I did make the suggestion that they was not an eco friendly hotel due to the fact it was insinuated to me that it was going in the bin. There was no lunch menu option, therefore I feel there was no reason to turn prepaying customers away. Paying on average £140 per night for a room with breakfast was reasonable but the customer service was below standard. Just for that reason. Cleaning , reception and Starbucks staff were amazing.
