Village Hotel Manchester Ashton

I travel a lot and somehow I have managed to inadvertently avoid the Village Hotel Chain. The Ashton Hotel has a large sports bar that offers a reasonable variety of cooked food but it’s also perfectly situated close to a variety of restaurants and a cinema if you fancy something different. The rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with a decent coffee machine, and the beds are very comfy. I have now stopped in another two in the chain and now look for the nearest Village hotel when travelling. Great value for money, friendly staff and excellent facilities.

Village Hotel Manchester – Friendly, Funky, and Jackie Was a Star There’s a bit of a myth floating around that parking at Village Hotels is always a hassle — but that’s usually because the on-site gym shares the car park. In my case, it wasn’t a problem at all. I was checked in by Jackie, who deserves a special mention. She saved me the faff of using the self-check-in machines and got me sorted with a room quickly. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly someone who cares about the guest experience. The room itself? Typical Village Hotel style — a bit quirky, modern, and very comfortable. I’ve stayed in a few Village Hotels and this one was just as good as the others: clean, stylish, and well thought-out. In the evening, I fancied a cup of tea and went downstairs hoping to find a biscuit. None out for guests — but once again, Jackie came to the rescue. I think she even dipped into her own stash to make sure I wasn’t left empty-handed. Absolute legend. Had a great night’s sleep, followed by a strong hot shower and a solid breakfast: fresh poached eggs, good coffee, fresh juice, and a decent selection overall. All served with a smile. If I had my way, I’d always stay in Village Hotels — but unfortunately, I go where my company sends me. That said, this was a genuinely enjoyable stopover. Great place and fabulous staff. Just missing a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks and meds, eg. Insulin injections, for people like me. Maybe for milk, to have with your cereal helpful IF you leave before breakfast service, as I was.
