Village Hotel Reading

The room was very good and comfortable. It was large, clean, and equipped with all the required facilities. The air conditioning was working very well as well. We arrived late, around 12:15 am, so the restaurant was already closed. According to their website, there was supposed to be an all-day room service menu. However, when we tried to order, they didn’t have most of the items listed and offered only pizza. Additionally, the TV remote wasn’t working. I informed the room service staff member who delivered the food, and he took the remote to fix it but never brought it back. I also think the hotel needs to improve its 24-hour front desk service to better meet guests’ expectations at night. Despite these small issues, our stay was very good and pleasant overall. It’s a recommended place. I did have a chance to have dinner at the hotel restaurant as well, and all the dishes were very delicious. They were kind enough to offer a late check-out as well, which was very much appreciated.

First of all I must say that the staff at this hotel are fantastic !!! The hotel has a nice modern feeling and good rooms. We didn’t get to try the spa but it looked good. Great bar area and restaurant. The food, which has a great Indian selection was really good. Definitely recommend

nice hotel, bang in the middle of a commercial estate. very close to the train station, 2 stops to Reading one way and London Waterloo (eventually) in the other direction. Staff were excellent, service was also great. the hotel restaurant is interesting as it effectively has 2 menus: a "regular" one, and a delicious Indian one. Spa is nice, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. can't talk about the gym as I avoid those... would recommend if you need to visit Reading and surrounding area, it's a great hotel.
