Villetta Primavera

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Primavera. Primavera has a great location, walkable from the train station, close to shopping and the lake with easy access to the ferries or private boats. Breakfast was great, lots of options, and the folks working in the breakfast area were very attentive. We requested a family room and the room we were assigned came with a set of bunk beds which turned out to be a bit on the small side for our large teen boys, but they made it work. The air conditioning worked well, and the room had a small fridge. The only thing that would have made it perfect was a larger balcony (the balconies here are very small) with a lake view!

Staff in breakfast room were overrun as their was a large group students to attend to. But did the best they could. Breakfast needed to be better quality and coffee wasn't great.

Primavera‘s location is unbeatable. It’s located in the town center and both the harbor and a bus stop are within two minutes walking. The bus runs amongst others to Verbania, Milano Malpensa, Arona, and Novara. The before-mentioned harbor hosts the official ferries on Lago Maggiore, including the Borromean Islands. It’s honestly easier and more practical to buy one-day tickets for the islands from the official transportation ministry at the port than from private companies. The rooms, however, are in need of some renovation. They’re not terrible per se, but pretty worn out. The main issue is that the rooms are extremely dark even with all lights lit. They are rather small too. Nevertheless, the staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was fine, maybe a little small in variety.
