Meliá Cua Hoi turned out to be one of those places you stumble on by accident and swear you'll return to the minute you leave. The front desk staff greeted me like an old friend, and that easy warmth lingered for the whole stay. My room felt spacious without feeling soulless; tasteful design choices and spotless surfaces made it hard to believe anyone had been there before me. It was the kind of space that invites you to collapse in the armchair and forget the rest of the world, so I did. The bar by the pool served as a magnet in the late afternoon. A quick cocktail in hand felt right while I watched the palm branches flicker in the breeze, and I doubt the bartenders ever met a garnish they didn't want to flaunt. Dinner options never repeated themselves, yet each listing sounded just as tempting as the last. Shrimp in tamarind sauce put local flavor on full display, and a midnight bowl of spaghetti satisfied the non-Asian side of my cravings without missing a beat. Staff members glided past with soft voices, ready to refill a glass or offer directions the minute you leaned forward. That kind of quiet attentiveness can feel forced in some resorts, but here it seemed completely natural. Put all of that together-comfortable lodgings, inventive food, genuine service-and you wind up with a getaway that sticks to your memory. I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, Ms Tuyen as well, and professional. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
