I stayed at this hotel for a short time. I was there to attend the women's champions league final. (to support Arsenal) the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was nice, l was impressed that there was a safe to keep my tablet and valuables in. However, l find it very strange that there is a frosted glass partition between the shower/bathroom and the bedroom meaning anyone in the other room could see you taking a shower ?! It's a good job l chose to have my own room and not share with my friend ( who is male) also there are no electrical sockets next to the bed which means you can't change your phone while using it in bed. These 2 points are where it loses stars for me. Having said that l would be happy to use this hotel again if l was staying in Lisbon but they really should amend these issues l think. (l am not a local guide)
I have stayed here for 5 days, and overall experience was good. Rooms are big, comfortable, clean, but the only and really big problem is that a/c condition doesn’t seem to work at all. It gets really hot in the room that you barely can be inside. We were asking them a few times to see what is the problem, they would say that it will be checked but nothing was done with it. That really bothered us. Breakfast is good, you can choose many different foods. Location of the hotel is great, it is placed nearby metro station with yellow line. Staff is polite and hospitable so we were feeling welcomed.
My experience was sadly pretty abysmal. They had no iron which is pretty bad for a business hotel. You can see people on the loo through their damn milk glass toilet wall. It was pretty noisy even at night. For a 4 star hotel the rooms were really basic. The *view* out of my room was a gigantic barren wasteland of a construction site. Nowhere did they mention this. The room service was tardy and you couldn’t estimate when they‘d be cleaning whatsoever. One time I left my room at 8:00 and came back at 12:00 and they still didn’t clean the place. One time they made the bed properly, others they ignored it entirely. The showers were unclean and the toilet paper was akin to sandpaper. Now, the second worst part of all was the food. Luckily I only had breakfast. Bland, mushy, slimy eggs that tasted of nothing. Barely cooked bacon. Nondescript mystery sausage in red water with a whiff of tomato. Coffee like battery acid. They had lots of tiny sweet Portuguese tarts and sweets which offset the rest a little, but after 3 days I couldn‘t bear it anymore so I had to grab breakfast in town. Worst of all, the AC ran day and night and I could *not* find a way to turn that off. Got sick as a result. Also the TV turned on at a blasting volume every time you entered the room. In conclusion, I have no idea where the good reviews are coming from. I don‘t have a lot of requirements for a business hotel, but I would *seriously* avoid this in the future. I won‘t be coming back.
