10/10 – Outstanding Stay! We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — right near the metro, making it super easy to get around Lisbon. The room was spotless, cleaned daily, and very comfortable. We ordered room service, which was great, and the price for everything was excellent value. The staff truly make this place special. They squeezed us in for breakfast even after it had ended, were always friendly, and they’re the only ones in Lisbon who know how to make a proper Long Island Iced Tea! One moment that really stood out: it was my birthday, and I hadn’t been given a birthday cake (its a tradition that we have) — my partner couldn’t bring one on the plane, and slipping away to find one once we arrived was impossible. But without saying a word, the hotel surprised us with a beautiful cake and a chilled bottle of champagne waiting in our room. It meant the world to us — I finally got my birthday cake, and she finally stopped hearing me ask for cake. It made our night unforgettable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough — they didn’t just give us a stay, they gave us a memory. Highly recommend this hotel — we’d definitely stay again. ❤️ 😍 💖
I stayed at the VIP Grand Lisboa and found the staff to be very kind and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, the room itself didn’t meet my expectations, especially for the price. The cleanliness was lacking, there were remnants of food or something similar on the floor and counter. The bed was very low to the ground and not particularly comfortable. The shower design made it difficult to avoid water flooding the bathroom. One of the biggest disappointments was the gym, which was saturated with the smell of cigarette smoke. No air circulation and I was told that the heat will make me burn faster by staff when I asked them if they could turn the air up for better circulation. Overall, while the staff was wonderful, the facilities and room conditions didn’t meet expectation.
Review: 0/10 – Total Disappointment! We paid an extremely high rate for a night at VIP Grand Lisboa Hotel & Spa with the sole purpose of using the SPA, which was supposed to be the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating and completely disrespectful to us as guests. We checked in at 11:00 PM, tired, just to make sure we could use the SPA the next morning. However, we were shocked to learn that the SPA only opens at 10:30 AM, and checkout is at 12:00 PM. That left us with a ridiculous window of just 1.5 hours to use the main facility we paid for. But things got even worse: the SPA staff arrived 20 minutes late, and then it took another 30 minutes to heat up the rooms. By the time everything was finally ready, it was basically time to check out. We completely lost the reason we booked this hotel in the first place. On top of that, we spent over an hour at the reception desk trying to resolve the situation, only to be met with unprepared staff and no real solution. Bottom line: we paid a premium price only to waste our time, energy, and patience. Zero professionalism, zero organization, zero customer care. Totally unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be high-end. We absolutely do not recommend this place.
