On the way to Cape May we fell in love with the Virginia hotel ❤️ The Virginia Hotel & Cottages sets the standard for luxury accommodations in Cape May, New Jersey. This beautiful -restored 1879 landmark hotel has a cozy & intimate setting. We woke up to a beautiful made-to-order continental breakfast, on the front porch. Try the award-winning dining & cocktails at the The Ebbitt Room. 🍸 Thank you Josh for The top notch experience! Looking forward to returning.

We stayed here last year in May and had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. This year, 2 weeks ago, we reserved a Queen Room which was small. I received a text at 11:13 that room service would be coming soon and to put out the card. We left and came back in 2 hours. No service, but they were in the hall. We sat on the porch, walked around the town and sat again on the porch, checking every hour or so. We were repeatedly told they "were on the way up". At 3:45 the room had not been cleaned. We asked for some clean towels and said to cancel service. We dressed for dinner and at 7:00 my husband went to the room for the wine, to find someone in there to clean. He said not needed. This was totally unacceptable. I do not want people in the room at 7pm without turn down service. The front desk staff were not on top of this all day. Very disappointing. We will not stay here again.

This place is beautiful, located in the best location and the food is high quality but getting into the hotel up the street from the lobby you have to walk to was super annoying because the owner won’t update the lock that looked like it was from 1922 and everyone was having a hard time getting in the pink building. I had to drag my luggage back up the street because again no one was answering the phone because one kid had to take on four jobs and it was so unfair for him to have that kind of burden in this kind of place. The staff was all super young and kind but very inexperienced. It was complete chaos checking in and the poor kid at the front desk was so overwhelmed doing it all at once. He also had to find someone who drove a stick shift for valet because he didn’t know how. No one answered the phone before arrival for thirty minutes I kept calling because I had a few questions . All this stuff makes the owner look careless and cheap. Please hire more help and stop being so cheap it adds so much stress to the guests and employees. Also your doller store blowdryer smelled like it was about to burn up. Please take more pride in your equipment in the rooms. Low end.
