César at the front desk was fantastic! He was both very knowledgeable and accommodating. The evening rates are extremely reasonable (€25 weekday, €30 weekend for access from ~7:30-10:30pm) The spa area was otherworldly. You feel transported by the thoughtful design: from the salt grotto, multiple cave-like pools, and relaxation rooms, to the saunas of various temperatures, Turkish baths and tea and water station. We went in the winter, when the outside stations were closed, so we'll definitely have to return to see it in it's full glory!
This 4 star hotel just outside Avellino is a very well set up spa with many wellness facilities over 2 levels on the ground floor and basement. Equipped with design features and lighting to give the setting a semblance of a cave network complete with an underground sandy “beach” this resort offers the tranquility and treatments one looks for to regenerate your mind, body and soul. The room we had was decent, though the fixed shower head and broken bin are personal points of contention, and the dark corridors that need to be switched on and don’t do do automatically is also something I disliked. The breakfast was extremely nice but slow - 2 servers are not enough considering that Covid restrictions do not permit self service at breakfast.
We had a package, called Day Spa. Poor service in the room for the hotel, that represents 4 stars. Not even a teapot, no glasses, no cups, not even a complimentary water. Considering the is no eating facility available (bar or restaurant, unless you book a proper dinner), you cannot even make a cup of tea in the room. Otherwise standard bed and TV. Spa service is good and clean. The massage service absolutely horrible. We ordered a decontracting back massage, instead it was a light full body massage with plenty of oil (so that the masseuse does not waste her energy) and shorter in time that paid for. Absolutely do not recommend. Money wasted. All in all, I would have given 2 stars for the room and 3 stars for the Spa facility.
