It was a nice modern but secluded place. Our food was quite good. They didn’t have the ribeye so we split the porterhouse. The only thing that I didn’t like was that they cut it into small strips so it cooled off too quickly. The house red was very enjoyable.

Had lunch at amici miei. Octopus was flavourful and the texture wonderful. Pizza was delicious but a little wet. Overall an okay lunch.

Overpriced and Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Money I recently stayed at a hotel in Watamu and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. For a rate of Ksh 19,000 per night, I expected at least some basic hospitality – but what I received was quite the opposite. I was charged for ginger water when I asked for it because of a sore throat – something most hotels would offer complimentary as a kind gesture. On days when I missed the official breakfast time, I simply requested a cup of tea, but was still charged. It felt like every small request came with an extra fee, regardless of the situation. What surprised me most was being asked to pay just to sit on a beachside swing. This should be a relaxing, inclusive amenity for guests – not an additional charge. Honestly, the overall service and value for money were incredibly disappointing. For the amount I paid, I expected more comfort, flexibility, and hospitality. I left confused and unsatisfied, and I wouldn’t wish to return. A truly horrible experience.
