Vista Ocean Suites

We had a wonderful time. We bounced around to several different cities and stayed in many different places during that time. This place was easily our favorite stay in our whole vacation! And the fact that it was actually one of the least expensive of places we stayed would add a chefs kiss to the whole experience. Our room was clean and the whole place including our room was well decorated. The view from our back door was an incredible view of the ocean. And the view out the front off the balcony where we had breakfast was of the other side of the peninsula! It was breathtaking! It is very rare that we stay somewhere that looks in person as-good or better-than the pictures. This place was one of those rare ones! The owner was so very kind to us and treated us like family. The breakfast was very delicious. Parking wasn’t an issue, as we were there during the wet season, but there was a bunch more parking that was actually still quite close if you are there when it’s busier. Even though we rented a car we enjoyed walking the streets and seeing the nearby restaurants and shops. So if you come without a vehicle, it’s still completely doable. If we ever have the privilege of getting to return to Costa Rica, we will absolutely stay here again!! We have friends going soon, and I plan on urging them to stay at VOS as well, as I know they will love it there!

What an incredible hotel and service! This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Gustavo and his team really embody the Pura Vida spirit. They were so welcoming, accommodating, and kind. The view from the hotel is beautiful, and it’s conveniently located near restaurants, beaches, and shops, only a short walk away. I can’t emphasize enough how thankful I am that I felt so safe here as a solo female traveler. Gustavo (the owner) went above and beyond to make my time at Hotel VOS amazing, and his kindness and positive energy will not be forgotten. I highly recommend staying here, and I would give 10 stars if I could!

We did not stay at the hotel, but we ate at the restaurant. It was excellent! My husband and I both thought it was the best meal we've had this week while on vacation! I ordered the seafood risotto and my husband got the chef special- both were excellent! We also ordered the ceviche and bruchetta appetizers which were also very good. The restaurant also has wonderful views of the water and we saw some toucans and Scarlett macaws fly by while we ate dinner.
