Vital Sporthotel Kristall

Highly recommended. We had the larger 37sqm room which were nice and large but no tea coffee in the rooms. Our half board price was excellent value for money and should be taken for the dinner since there is very limited choice of restaurants. The menu was a fantastic mix on both days including the best dessert spread with chocolate fondue. The hotel is in Finkenberg - recommend the drive to Tux region and take the bus to Hintertux for better hikes and views. There is a small church opposite the hotel which also has some great hikes to Mayrhofen, which is 1.5 hours by foot or 10 mins drive. Closest town for excellent restaurants and bars. Beautiful region and located only 2.5 hours from Munich.

Book a room in this hotel. Staff is super friendly, rooms and all other areas are clean. It's close to the lift (you can walk there, bit tricky with ski boots on, but manageable, and you could ski back from the lift through the garden :) enough parking space, some even in a garage. They have a proper gym, so you can actually work on your "guns" should you want to. Sauna area is clean and good, the area where you can leave your skis, boots and boards is good. I was there just a few days after Valentines and received and upgrade of my room, so that was a big bonus. If you are a party animal, don't stay at Finkenberg, because there is nothing to do when the elevator stops running. Would take my two kids here next time, but was with a friend.

Fantastic stay while we hiked in the mountains around Finkenberg and Hintertux. The staff was fantastic, however the the kitchen should have had more servers to serv food as when fully booked hotel it got busy for them. Also if you want to use the massage I reccomend booking in advanced of coming to the hotel. There is nothing to say of the cleanliness of the room or the Hotel generally. The room does have a classic style of austrian architecture but nothing to complain about.
