Vital und Wellnesshotel Hanneshof

We had an amazing experience at Resort Hanneshof in Filzmoos. The staff were kind, helpful, and always welcoming. Our room was cozy and quiet, with a great view of the mountains. The wellness area (indoor pool, saunas, steam room) was clean, relaxing, and never too crowded – a perfect way to unwind after hiking. We especially loved how central everything was: the gondola station, village shops, and walking trails were all just a short walk away. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and included in our half-board package – local dishes, fresh ingredients, and great variety. The service was thoughtful but never pushy. Also, the Filzmoos Sommer Card we received added so much value – free cable car rides, buses, pool access, and even guided hikes. Highly recommend this place if you want a relaxing, nature-filled holiday in the Austrian Alps. We’ll definitely come back!

If you are looking for a nice and calming vacation, this is the perfect place!! First the location is just unbelievable, almost 1 hour ride from salzburg, it is the coziest place in the mountains to stay! The service and staff are extremely nice and professional and the food is also great, there is always saladbar and different foods to choose for dinner, all made by a professional chef and served by kind staff!! It also has swimming pool and sauna which makes your stay even more enjoyable! I loved it here and will come back again❤️

We booked two rooms directly in August (we got a list from the tourisme office) and were given a great rate for our four-night stay. The hotel is small and cozy, perfectly located in the heart of Filzmoos. The pool isn’t large but is sufficient for a swim, and the sauna area, nicely decorated offers three different types, all quiet and relaxing. Our rooms were spacious, traditionally decorated, and had very comfortable beds.The blackout curtains worked wonderfully, and our third-floor balcony provided a lovely view of the church, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the nearby river. Dinner was enjoyable, with three main course choices each evening (typically meat, fish, or vegetarian). The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety, though the espresso could use improvement. About 75% of the staff were friendly and attentive,a solid result given Austria’s severe shortage of skilled hospitality workers, which often makes consistent service a challenge. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return!
