Enchanting experience, my wife and I spent three nights in a very comfortable and private setting. The food was fresh and exquisite. Everyone that works at Vivo make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. We recommend this resort for a quiet or not so quiet getaway near Puerto Escondido. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Check-in and guest services can improve. The restaurant does not have local cuisine options (quesadillas, tlayudas, etc) but their service there is very good. Great bar for sports and casual serenity drink (do check the adults only pool and it's bar/grill).
I stayed with my husband and with an 11 yo child.l for 4 full days. The pools and location were wonderful! The rooms were comfortable and the air worked great the entire time. The rooms could have been a little cleaner and dusted. The couches were so dirty. The food at the restaurant is good but nothing extraordinary. After a couple days you start to get bored with the options. The best plate in my opinion was the mole. The staff was very friendly. My frustration was my when me and my husband booked a spa day that the reception booked for us. When I showed up the next day she told me it was impossible because was booked already. I had to them wait 2 hours for a company that worked outside the resort to show up for a massage and had to pay a little more than with the spa staff at the resort. In addition, while I was resolving this issue with reception my husband said someone from reception had unlocked our door in our room while my husband was in there and seemed confused, started asking when we were checking out. We were a little skeptical about this, they should have this information stored in their system. Then on the last night when we finished dinner we were told we had a tab open at the pool bar from earlier that day. We were confused because we had 4 drinks and had closed out the tab. The bartender had to take his money up at the restaurant area because she didn’t have change. Then she kept forgetting to give him change. I’m not sure how it happened when we paid but maybe ask for receipts or charge things to your room so you can keep tabs! Overall I would come back again but only for a a couple days.
