Very pleasant stay. Ideally located. Friendly welcome. Good-humoured staff. Nice rooms. Bar with good vibes. Excellent breakfast. Thank you - will certainly recommend this hotel for any stay in Milano

Booked this hotel last June and was quite a disappointment. First the location. It’s located in Brera but not really into a charming corner of the nice quarter but rather to a dead end street that is creepy at night. The garden is bad maintained and so are the outside furnitures, pity because weather was nice but we didn’t sit outside at all. Common areas are ok and rather small and overcrowded with lots of furnitures and decors so was my room. Bathroom was good clean and marble but not enough to justify the price and the 5 stars in my opinion. We booked a double room and we got water and glasses only for 1 person so the coffee cup. The view was average into the little dried garden and the outside of the window was dirty by previous smoking gusts. Overall I wouldn’t return because there is no balance price quality and price beauty.

However, im surprised its a 5 star hotel. The service is really poor. The staff are trying their best to accommodate however they seem like they lack so much knowledge about basic things in the hotel. Room service is not available the whole day like any other 5 star hotel, there are specific times where we could order. During Christmas day, we were not informed the day before that housekeeping duty will finish early, so incase we needed cleaning. We were told this information ON Christmas day at 2pm when its already too late. That being said, no housekeeping, no free water and if you ask for water they charge you for it. Housekeeping is another disappointment, they’re part timers as i have been told so the cleaning is really bad! The rooms are dusty, cups are not washed, sometimes they miss adding towels. As a family, we didnt really feel safe in the hotel… i came back to my room twice and found my room door open ( i was outside for about 2 hours or more) nothing was stolen and no one was inside. Im just surprised who opened the door? And why? I informed the reception and they gave me so much excuses but didnt even apologized nor asked about what happened exactly or even told me that they will do anything about it!! I couldnt sleep well for the rest of the stay in this hotel as I felt unsafe. One of our rooms had an electricity problem, my sister got an electric shock from one of the plugs THAT WAS GIVEN BY THE HOTEL, and another outlet in the same room gave out a spark when she tried to put the charger there as well, so please be careful. We did not mention this to the reception because there was just too much to complain about, we were just counting the days to leave! Breakfast was a disappointment! No options, all the pastries were not covered and there were so much flies/ mosquitoes!!! The breakfast area is cute but very tight and not well prepared for people to actually sit there, it was freezing!! And the most annoying thing that happened is when we checked out, i had to pay a huge amount without the receptionist printing out the bill to show me what we actually ordered so i can pay this amount, which is the norm in any other basic hotel not just 5 star! I asked for a printout but he just handed me the payment machine to pay!??????!!!???? This was so unprofessional, i just paid and left as we were late to our next destination. Even when i paid and about to leave he didnt even print out the bill. This is one of the many reasons why we are not booking in this hotel next time. We really loved brera area, however the hotel wasnt as expected and very disappointing.
