voco Edinburgh Haymarket by IHG

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Voco Edinburgh Haymarket for work purposes, and I must say: despite having stayed in many IHG properties around the globe, this particular hotel truly takes the gold medal. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted by a stunning, impeccably maintained space that manages to feel both sophisticated and warmly inviting. However, the true jewel in the crown is the staff — each member exemplifies hospitality at its finest. A special mention must go to Andrew in the restaurant area, who is an absolute credit to the company. His attentive, friendly manner elevates the entire experience, and I sincerely hope he receives the recognition he deserves. Whether you’re visiting Edinburgh’s Haymarket for business or pleasure, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. world-class service and a rare gem indeed.

A very nicely maintained hotel with restaurant, located in a quiet neighborhood, nearby public transit options! All staff were absolutely kind and most professional with our family and accommodating to any requests we had for a comfortable stay. The room was clean and welcoming with climate control. The breakfast had both hot/cold, fresh and delicious items on offer. The bus stop directly outside the hotel reached the castle and city center in 15-20 minutes, nearby tram station is a 5 minute walk, and the Haymarket train station is ~10 minute walk (with children). I hope to visit Edinburgh again and would absolutely stay here; most recommended!

All in all lovely hotel. The staff are wonderful and friendly. The food is good. Stayed for an enjoyable full week. Downsides: The shower head started dripping at random times for a few minutes. Woke me up in the middle of the night several times. Also, I don't understand why there was no toilet brush in the room.
