As expected with a Voco hotel it was another excellent stay. From the staff at the hotel to the room, to the spa facilities and the food in the restaurant/breakfast. I couldn’t fault anything at all. The staff were attentive and upbeat, there is plenty of parking in the car park and the whole hotel looks relatively new so it’s still lovely in the room and communal spaces etc. The quality of the food in the restaurant was good and there is plenty of drink choices at the bar. There is a gym, pool and spa facilities here that are free to use for hotel guests. Compared to normal hotel gyms this one is well stocked and has plenty of machines and free weights, the pool is a good size too. The gym and spa facilities are used by members so it is not exclusive to only hotel guests. I will be staying here again next time I am in the area.
I was very impressed overall with my stay at the Holiday Inn at Fareham. The staff were very friendly. The location is excellent (considering that I used to live in Fareham, it is a great go between to Portsmouth and Southampton). The room that I stayed in was also very good. Very modern and very clean. My favourite thing about the room was the bathroom itself, the shower was powerful and hot! Also, the price to stay for the weekend, was actually a fair price and I did indeed feel it matched the costs to stay in the room (which was a double room). My only two things, I feel could do with some TLC from my visiting experience was the air-conditioning in my room did not seem to work (room 138). I followed the instructions as posted next to thermostat, and unfortunately it would not change from the heating setting. Also the pillows (for my taste anyway), were too big and a little uncomfortable for me. That said, the bed was comfortable. However, as long as Holiday Inn keep the price competitive with the current market. I would recommend staying if coming to this area
One of many work trips to this area but first time in this hotel. Very pleasantly surprised by the size, layout and standard of my room. The tea/coffee tray is very well stocked and the fridge is a real added bonus.
