Our arrival started out a little rough. Our room was not yet available and we needed to wait. No problem, we waited in the cafe. When our room was ready for us, management let us know that they had needed to deep clean the room due to the scent of a previous guest. Which was the source of the delay. We proceeded to the room to find that it smelled not of the previous guest anymore, but now of cleaning agents. The scent was so strong and venting was limited, that we had to inform management that we couldn’t use this room. Unfortunately, the hotel was completely filled and there wasn’t another room available. However, Mishi took great care of us and found a room that was available during to a last minute cancellation for that night. The next day we were upgraded to an excellent room for the rest of our stay. We appreciate the care and consideration of the management team during what was clearly a very busy time for the hotel. We will return to voco London for our next visit. Thank you to Mishi and the rest of the voco team!
During my stay at the hotel, I had the pleasure of meeting Ramona, the housekeeping lady, and I felt it was important to leave a special word of appreciation for her work. She is incredibly kind, always smiling, and pays great attention to detail. Every day, the room was spotless, fresh, and welcoming — a clear sign that Ramona truly cares about what she does. The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating every time I entered the hotel for my 4 night stay. I checked in about 2 hours early with no issue (gave prior notice). The room was exceptionally clean and the AC worked so well I was chilly when waking up. Bathroom water temp great hot-cold range, also very clean. Short walk to 2 different underground stations and bus stops making it super convenient to travel in and out of the city. Daily water and room cleaning was top notch. Everything about my stay was wonderful and hats off to the staff!
