Personally I believe it's a solid 4-star hotel having stayed in previous voco and IHG hotels. Location is spot on right in front of Namdaemun and 10-15 minutes walking distance to Myeongdong area. The check-in process could be improved as it can be quite chaotic considering there isn't a dedicated lobby as such since it's shared space with the main entrance and also a cafe and had to give my name to a lady to be in a queue system for check-in. And although there's 6 lifts, it would stop at every floor which has the down button clicked, perhaps the system can be upgraded to make the process smoother. Otherwise, the room is sizeable and comfortable, breakfast selection was reasonable, and the gym is kept clean and tidy. There's also an indoor pool but didn't manage to check it out.

A hotel that delivers exactly what you expect: practical, clean, and honest. Its location is excellent, just 800 meters from Seoul Station and only 50 meters from Line 4 of the subway, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The breakfast is of good quality and offers a decent variety, though it could benefit from more protein options suited to Western tastes, such as chicken or pork cold cuts. The space is well-decorated and bright, but I recommend avoiding breakfast after 8:30 a.m. to avoid crowds. The gym is minimally equipped, and adding a Smith machine would greatly enhance workout versatility. The room is compact but well-designed, with comfortable beds and a practical, no-frills bathroom. One suggestion: in 2025, we expect smart TVs to allow interaction with streaming platforms, which would significantly enhance the guest experience

Too expensive rate for its location. This is not in the middle of Myeongdong's fame street market. Rooms are fairly clean but most hotels in Seoul at this price point are tidy and clean too. Service wise, staff are quite impolite at times especially the front desk and those at Executive Lounge. Exec Lounge opens only at 11am and closes exactly at 10pm, without nothing much served even at cocktail events. Certain times they move their fridge to a certain location, they don't like customers to open the fridge and the staff will not hesitate to tell you in an impolite way. It's not worth paying these extras. I would give this place a miss at this price point. IHG, most staff here needs improvements in interpersonal skills. I would rate my stay experience with a negative Star.
