voco Southampton by IHG

Stayed at the hotel for 5 weeks. Had a pleasant experience. The front desk team was friendly and helpful, some going the extra mile to ensure the stay was comfortable- Priya, Carl, Ann and Joseph.☺️ For breakfast was greeted by the lovely Ms Simmi. Good selection of hot n cold dishes, fruits, bread , cereal. Not forgetting , the hospitality from breakfast team Mr Jason and rest.🥐 Rooms(queen with sofa bed) were big, clean and newly refurbished as hotel had recently done full renovations. Enough power sockets and usb plugs. TVs can be connected to phones/laptops. Pillows were a little soft for my liking, and they didnt have any firmer ones. So do take note of that. There is a in house seafood restaurant - recommended to try the Steak and Sri Lanka curry. Location is very strategic, 3 mins walk away from West Quay mall and walkable distance to top food spots according to google review. Cruise port is right behind the hotel. 👍 It will be a delightful stay for anyone looking for a hotel in Southampton. Kudos to the team at Voco. Will definately choose this hotel when i come back again.😃

We have been staying at this hotel for several years and have seen it refurbished several times. However the latest redevelopment, now as Voco is by far the best. The restaurant/bar area has had a major upgrade and is very classy. This hotel has always had one of the best breakfasts and that’s hasn’t changed. But the best part was being greeted by the fabulous Simmi. Simmi has been running breakfast here for a few years and she runs it so well. Her customer service is outstanding, she always members her regular guests and it’s a pleasure to be greeted by her. Well done IHG for making changes, but keeping the best staff members! The gentleman running reception also makes sure guests are warmly welcomed. A lovely stay as always in this perfectly located hotel.

Excellent pre-cruise stay. If you're departing from the City terminal on a cruise, this is the place to stay. An easy, flat, 5 minute walk to the terminal building is all it takes. Rooms were clean, well appointed, and safe. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. No need to order from the menu, but a menu full of good choices was available also. Bar scene was great pre-cruise, too. Right across from the Old Town section of Southampton, where there is a lot to see and do.
