Brought my mom here on a recent 1-night trip to Folkestone, and we had a great stay. We arrived by public transit, and it was a fairly easy walk to both the bus and train stations, roughly 10 min. Staff at reception were incredibly welcoming and stored our luggage for us before check-in and after check-out. The hotel has been recently renovated, I believe at the end of 2024, so everything was in perfect shape at the time of our visit. My mom was particularly impressed with how huge the room was! It’s rare to find a hotel room with so much space. The room design felt very thoughtful - all the light switches and outlets were conveniently placed, the air con control was easy to use, and the bathroom fixtures were classy and functional. The shower floor was non-slip, and there was also an additional mat you could put down if needed. The TV was large and easy to figure out, and the room and halls were all very well sound-proofed. There is an elevator which functions well, but considering it’s an old building, it’s small and slow and at the furthest end of the hall, so we only used it when bringing our luggage up and down. If you have mobility issues that require using it often, it might be inconvenient. Overall, we had a great stay in Folkestone and I’d highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for only one night and were really impressed with the location and the presentation of the Hotel. The room was enormous and had two Queen sized beds in there for the four of us (2 Adults & 2 Kids) and the bathroom was a really good size and looked recently refurbished. The bar is good and about the same price as a pub would be. The Restaurant is what stood out for me, the service was impeccable, and the food was divine and very reasonable for the four of us to eat. I had the fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection. The chips came out in a heated cast iron pot which kept them deliciously hot all the way to the last one. I love my steaks and this was a good one. The waiter (who I think was more like a Maitre D) was the most pleasant guy and I think he must have been telepathic because the moment I thought about another drink he was already there.

The hotel itself is aesthetically very pleasing. The design, decor, and my room on the 4th floor was compact but had everything for the solo traveller. Air-con was spot on. Unfortunately, the walls between rooms are paper thin, I was literally in bed listening to my neighbours' conversation. Thankfully, it was just a conversation. This is a real negative for me as a light sleeper. Woke by this chirpy seagull, which I didn't really mind. Breakfast was good, parking I managed a free spot as was there 6pm to 8am only. Reception staff hit and miss.
