Vox Maris Grand Resort

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of July 2 adults and 1 child 9 years old. The overall impression was good to very good. Very large triple room, I estimate about 40 sqm, comfortable bed, very large bathroom. The breakfast buffet, typical, sufficient. Fabulous pool, with water probably at 25, 26 degrees, very clean. The staff, a lot of young people with common sense, willing to help and serv you when needed... Without too much to add, we felt very good.

We payed 500 Euros per night. However the hotel looked more like a motel at best. The buildings are crumbling, the rooms are filled with old furniture. Especially the bathroom was a let down. There was a hair dryer which never worked, the bath tub was dirty and bad designed, so that water spilled out everywhere. The service was also not great. In our 4 days stay, our room never got cleaned. Our towels got changed once and we had to buy our own toilet paper, cause we only got 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people which isn’t enough. Overall I would not go a second time and if I knew how this hotel in general is I wouldn’t have come here at the first place.

Definitely not an 4 stars resorts (as they advertise on their site). Beside the owner/manager which was noticeable exception when facing complains, most of the personal was surprising kind and polite. Several important points to consider: - the place was still a work yard - expensive comparing with what offers - hazardous (electric wires near the pool, many wery sharped and unfinished edges, holes on the ground... ) - unhealthy humidity in the rooms - restaurant was not open "a la carte" - no internet available into the rooms(they claimed it should be but...) We were there at the end of June / beginning of July Perhaps in a couple of years could reach the full potential of the place.
