VR Rotorua Lake Resort

My wife and I stayed at the VR Rotorua Lake View Motel for two nights, and we had a truly relaxing experience. The location is absolutely beautiful—right by the lake with serene views, perfect for a quiet getaway from the city. Waking up to the peaceful water and birdsong was a highlight. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the bed was quite cozy. The property also has a nice outdoor area that we enjoyed walking through in the mornings. While it’s a little bit out of the main Rotorua town center, we actually appreciated the more tranquil setting—it made for a more romantic and restful experience. It’s only a short drive to Rotorua’s main attractions, so we didn’t mind at all. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend VR Rotorua Lake View Motel to couples looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind

We had a wonderful weekend staying here. The manager and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was nice being slightly outside Rotorua with a view of Lake Rotoiti. Rooms were a bit dated and whole place needs a bit of a deep clean, but we spent most of our time outside by the lake, so it was fine. We had dinner at the restaurant and the steak meal was cooked perfectly, we were impressed! Would stay again, thanks!

The accommodation needs major renovation upgrade. Room was dirty, dusty and mould on the windows and curtains. Bathrooms is smelly and sink and toilet needs a good clean. Looks like the room hasn't been cleaned for some time.. the only plus point is Nice lake view.
