Vulcan Hotel Sydney

My husband, daughter and I visited Sydney in the July school holidays and stayed at the Vulcan hotel. We usually stay closer to the city, but couldn't get the hotel we usually book. The staff at the Vulcan were attentive and friendly and the hotel was lovely. It had wonderful charm and the rooms were well appointed. Breakfast in the Cafe was lovely. In our last day, the morning was cool and there was a fire going. It is a lovely, cosy place to visit. Central, but not hectic.

Highly recommend. Great hotel for the price. Very clean, friendly staff, and a classy simple continental breakfast (although no auto coffee machine, just instant on offer, but I’m sure you can order one). I was in the ground floor Shoe Box / king single, which was bigger than some queen bed rooms I’ve stayed in at other places (noting this could just be a one off room for the Vulcan - I can’t tell). The building has a lovely character and you can tell the owners care more than other places.

Ideal family hotel with central location at a great price!! Our family stayed at the Vulcan Hotel, which is perfectly located in the city centre. It is very close to Central Station, Paddy's Market, and a variety of restaurants, making it easily accessible via the light rail. Despite its central location, the hotel is situated away from the noisy, busy streets. The hotel boasts a charming heritage ambiance combined with modern rooms. The staff made us feel welcome and were incredibly friendly to our children. We stayed in a Superior Twin room with a balcony, which was spacious and perfect for our family of four. The complimentary breakfast was ideal for us each morning before we explored the city. We will return to this hotel for our next trip to Sydney.
