This cottage was absolutely fantastic – truly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I spent 7 nights here (July 5–12), and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is simply unbeatable: the view of the lake is breathtaking, with direct access to the water and a private pier. We rented a boat and explored the entire area – it was such an adventure! The boat was great: 10hp, very comfortable, and fast enough to cover a large distance. And yes – I finally caught my long-awaited trophy pike, over 4 kg! The cottage itself is small but perfectly organized and equipped with everything you need for a happy stay. The only thing missing is a washing machine, but honestly, it didn’t feel like a problem. There’s a dishwasher, plenty of hot water, a grill setup, parking space, and an amazing traditional wood-fired sauna. After each sauna session, we jumped straight into the crystal-clear lake – pure bliss. Time flew by way too fast, and we really wished we could stay longer. Special thanks to the host, Mikko – such a kind, helpful, and friendly person. He was always available to assist, brought us anything we needed, and even took us on a little boat trip to look for salmon. It was a pleasure to get to know him better. We traveled by car, so everything like grocery shopping was easy. But without a car, it might be more difficult to reach the place. That said, the area itself is just magical – surrounded by forest and nature, it’s a perfect place to rest your body and soul. All in all, this was an incredible stay. Wonderful cottage, beautiful surroundings, and an amazing host. I absolutely recommend it and would love to return one day!

Great location to enjoy summer vacation. A wide range of outdoors activities in the nature are available. The Lake Puruvesi is quite unique in Finland and its vendace (fish) are famous. The hosts are warm and very friendly, will definitely make you feel welcome.
